Ein physisches Bedienfeld mit aktiver Kühlung als Erweiterung für das NavPad-System der ADAC Luftrettung: Kernfunktionen lassen sich blind bedienen, das Tablet bleibt auch unter Dauerlast im Temperaturfenster. Ohne die Box wird NavPad direkt am iPad bedient; das Modul wird derzeit erprobt. A physical control panel with active cooling, extending the NavPad system used by ADAC Luftrettung: core functions can be operated blind, and the tablet stays within its temperature window even under continuous load. Without the box, NavPad is operated directly on the iPad; the module is currently undergoing trials.

AusgangslageStarting point

Reine Touch-Bedienung im Flug ist bei Turbulenz und mit Handschuhen unzuverlässig. Unter Dauerlast und direkter Sonne läuft ein iPad in die thermische Drosselung. Die Beleuchtung muss NVG-kompatibel sein. Touch-only operation in flight is unreliable in turbulence and with gloves on. Under continuous load and direct sun, an iPad runs into thermal throttling. The lighting has to be NVG-compatible.

AufgabeTask

Ein Bedienmodul mit haptischen Tasten und Joystick, das Kurz- und Langdruck unterscheidet, bis zu acht frei belegbare Funktionen bietet, das Tablet aktiv kühlt, im NVG-Band leuchtet und in das NavPad-System eingebunden ist. A control module with haptic buttons and a joystick that distinguishes short and long presses, offers up to eight freely assignable functions, actively cools the tablet, illuminates within the NVG band, and integrates with the NavPad system.

Ein Embedded-Steuermodul im entspiegelten Gehäuse mit aktiver Kühlung, acht frei belegbaren Tasten plus Joystick, Erkennung von Kurz- und Langdruck sowie dimmbarer Beleuchtung im NVG-Band. Definierte Schnittstelle zum NavPad, Auslegung auf den Dauerbetrieb im Cockpit. An embedded control module in an anti-glare housing with active cooling, eight freely assignable buttons plus a joystick, short- and long-press detection, and dimmable NVG-band lighting. A defined interface to NavPad, designed for continuous operation in the cockpit.
